What is The MedassurePlus Card?
MedassurePlus provides alternative healthcare solutions to today’s growing crisis in the healthcare industry. By joining MedassurePlus you will receive discount health benefits on services such as hospitalization, doctors, dental care, prescription drugs, vision care, hearing care, chiropractic care and much more, for families and individuals throughout the United States.
How do I get my MedassurePlus Savings?
About two weeks after becoming a member, you will receive your membership handbook and membership card. Simply, show your card at participating provider locations at the time of your transaction and your adjustment will be granted at the time you receive the products or services.
Do I have to file a claim form to get the savings?
No. There are no claim forms or other paperwork to file. Most providers will provide you with the network price immediately during your visit, unless they prefer to have a re-priced bill mailed to both the member and provider.
What if I have a current health condition?
There are no limitations on the use of the program, regardless of your health condition. There are no limits on medical use.
How would MedassurePlus benefit my company?
MedassurePlus provides a way for organizations of all sizes to provide a health insurance alternative to their associates.
Is The MedassurePlus Program available in my area?
MedassurePlus is available throughout the United States. You can search for providers through our website or call the telephone number on the back of your card more further information on providers.
How do I use the Card to get my prescription discount?
Just take your MedassurePlus membership card to a participating pharmacy. The pharmacist will process the prescription discount through our network administrator’s pharmacy benefit processing system. You will pay the MedassurePlus discounted membership price at that time.
What happens once I sign up?
You will receive your membership handbook and cards within 7-10 days after your initial sign-up. When your cards arrive, you can immediately use the program at your doctor, dentist and pharmacy, according to its terms and conditions, by presenting your card to the health care providers listed under the program.
What if I’m traveling or moving and need to use one of the health services?
Your MedassurePlus membership is valid anywhere in the United States. Just call us toll-free and we will supply you with provider names closest to your geographic area.
Why would a provider be interested in this program?
The MedassurePlus health insurance alternative program allows providers to acquire new patients and increase their customer base.
Are the prices for each service the same at all dentists or does this vary from dentist to dentist?
For all preventive dentistry there is a fixed fee schedule every participating dentist has agreed to use.
Can my membership be denied?
No. Unlike insurance, MedassurePlus has no restrictions, exclusions and no physical is required. Once your application is processed, you will receive a membership handbook containing your membership card and on a summary about how to maximize your savings. Your card will include all of your necessary information.
Are there any age restrictions?
No, there are absolutely no restrictions.
Do I have to wait until I get the MedassurePlus Card or can I receive the savings now?
You will have to wait until you receive your membership card before obtaining the savings.
How is the MedassurePlus Card different from insurance?
The MedassurePlus card is not insurance! We offer discounts for health-related services. The member is required to pay the discounted fee.
I already have insurance. How does the MedassurePlus Card work with my insurance?
If you have a limited indemnity plan that only covers hospitalization or has a per-diem rate such as $300 per day when hospitalized, or only provides for coverage for certain diseases such as a cancer policy, you will benefit significantly when using the MedassurePlus card for all of your medical expenses. You may be able to use your card for prescription discount, not covered by your HMO or managed care plan. You can also use the card to cover expenses if not covered by your insurance plan such as dental and chiropractic care. However, MedassurePlus does not undertake to pay for or reimburse you for your health care expenses.
Termination and Cancellation.
You may terminate this agreement and your membership at any time by logging in to www.medassureplus.com and submitting a cancellation request on the Contact Us page or by calling us at the toll free number on your membership card 1-888-745-9352. Our offices are open Monday to Friday 10:00 AM EST to 5:00 PM EST, with 24 hour voicemail system. Your cancellation will be effective promptly upon the receipt of your cancellation notice. You have the right to cancel this agreement within 30 days of the effective date for a full refund of fees paid. Any cancellations made past the 30 day period will have $29.99 cancellation fee applied.
